I have 17´ wheels,, but haven´t decided on the tires yet. The thing is,, that here in México if I put some 205/40R17 it would be to thin for the type of streets here. So I was wondering in wrapping the wheels with 215/45R17. Do the fit correctly?

What's so bad about the streets there that you can't get tires that are like a half inch smaller? If you go with 215's they will rub.
