Damn, your almost to 30k in a 2000? I just hit 30k yesterday in my 99. All I need them to do is valve adjustment also, but I'll probably just do it with my friends Dad.

I'm a day away from breaking 30 in my 00' and was wondering how much valve adj. from honda usually runs.
Every dealer and/or location is a little different. I can tell you it's more in California than here in Florida. Just call the dealer. But, I've got to believe there's some reputable shops locally that can do it much cheaper. Call around, it only takes a little time.

Also, from my experience with cars (born in 1947 - you do the math) getting the regular checkups done will save you money down the road. Unless you're only keeping the car a couple of years. Yes - I know - when you're younger money is tight. Been there too.

I just did my 30k service today! It cost me $350.
That’s a lot sense I don’t have any problems with the car at all, but when you drive harder, routine maintenance becomes preventive maintenance. I don’t want any part on the car to fail me just yet… Mostly it was inspect this and that, clean injectors, replace plugs, rotor, etc. Always keep up with your oil changes!

Just got my 48000km service done...worth it

I was told by my local honda dealer that if you don't get the 48000km (30000mi) service done to change the transmission fluid, you could have problems with warranty if your transmission ever goes.

Just my 2 cents... I found my civic ran great after it got the "tune-up" Runs like new again

Im reaching 30k also...The only thing that I am going to have them do is a valve adj.
You don't need a valve adj. just yet. they are Hydraulic valves. You do need a tranny and radiator flush.
