The 4-2-1 will offer more low end and midrange power. I recommend this if you don't go to the track often. The 4-1 gives a bit more power at the high RPM range and I recommend this if you're at the track all the time. I think they balance out power wise. It just depends on how you like to drive.

Go with 4-1. The B16A is quite a high revving machine and it likes the top end.. For the extra torque you would be gaining with a 4-2-1, I personally don't think its worth it to have the extra step for the exhaust gasses.

Consider this.. Some of the best gains to be found with a B16A is with the JDM ITR header wich is a 4-1 with the 2.5" collector. If you've got the dough I would definatley recommend that instead. :)

basically if all you're lookin' for is some extra boost off the line at a red light? go for 4-2-1 like most of the guys have said.

4-1 is if you want more power in the long run, say you race your car at the track a lot, this would be your better bet ;)
