Does anyone know if the adapter for the 4 lug to 5 lug is worth it?
Does it create problems or make the wheel stick out too far or make the tires wear faster? just wondering if its worth putting on or should I just stick with 4 lug wheels? Usually everything i like is 5 lug.

I bet that the wheels you like are also made in 4 lug pattern, not just 5 lug, almost all the wheels are made with either pattern, just ask. And in my opinion, adapters are too dangerous, I don't like them. I work for LesSchwab and one time we had a guy ruin his rims because his adapters came loose, ouch. Lates

adapters will reduce the amount of stud threads that is in contact with the lugnut...most times you will need to replace with longer ones. another problem is the thickness of the adapter...this causes exisiting wheels (ones that normally fit without the adapter) to stick out of the wheel well. but if you have not bought wheels yet, you can buy some with a super high offset (if at all possible) and this should keep them in the wheel wells.

Not sure what you mean on this one - the adapter plate is no thicker than the rim, and most times since it's made of metal it's thinner - so the lug thread is the same or a tiny bit longer on all adapters I've ever seen. Then the adapter itself that has the lugs on it are normal/standard length.

The only prob an adapter would have is that it does make the tire stick out a tiny bit more (the thickness of the adapter plate) which is under 1/2".

Regarding an adapter plate coming loose - no more chance of it coming loose than a rim - even less since you put it on with Red Loc-Tite. So if one came loose - well that person had just as good a chance of his rim coming off because he/she didn't tighten the lug nut.

BTW, I haven't seen one for this year Accord - who makes them ???
