5th gear popped out on the hiway!!

noone has an idea of wut could be wrong..my bro was saying maybe the synchroids..i have to take it to honda to check it out.

Before you go anywhere near a Honda dealership with a warranty claim, make sure you have NO aftermarket parts on it.

You're 5th gear synchro is going out prematurely due to a mis-aligned shift fork. It will get worse, it probably already grinds once in a while and eventually will go all the way out.

Honda has issued a recall about them and should give you no trouble. But they may try to pin the "Abuse" like they did to me and will try not to pay for it.

well i have neuspeed sport springs, but thats it..totally stock engine wise..and i have 10,800 miles on it....and it doesnt grind..it goes in normally and it popped out smoothly,, no grinding or noise..i noticed cuz the rpms jumped..

they pin the abuse on me and i'll knock em out......

i'll let yall know wut they say.

Not if they find the problem to be abuse. Which they'll threaten before they tear into the tranny. My 5th gear went out with about 10k miles on it and they wont fix it. I just pulled the engine and am having a friend at the dealer have them fix it for free. I just have to pay for parts.

IT HAPPENED AGAIN TODAY.. 3 times..so i drove the way to work without 5thgear..its okay..only on the highway for like 30 seconds then i got off..but on the way back..i drove normally(with 5th gear) and nothing happend..

im takin it to honda on saturday..only time i have, and they shouldnt bitch about my springs..cuz it has nothing to do with the tranny...

wish me luck..AND CAN SOMEONE GET ME AN OFFICIAL PAGE OF THE RECALL ON THE SHIFT FORK THINGY..
