I was wondering if use an aftermarket amp instead of the factory amp to power the rear speakers, would it be ok? Since the rear speakers are 2 ohm instead of 4. Thanks

That is exactly how I have mine hooked up. Since I removed the OEM haed unit and replaced everything with Alpine. I have had my rears hooked up to an Alpine 4channel and it is working perfect. No problems at all. SO go ahead and do it !

i wouldn't give the time of day to amp rear speakers. if anything use your HU power.
