Hasport makes the kit. I've seen a b20 VTEC 3rd gen civic hatch. It would be the same for a first gen crx. I've also seen a first gen crx with an H23 in it, and it wasn't all hacked up.

haha...not that simple......i wouldnt doubt it if HASport made the kit, however, a 3rd gen hatch and a 1st gen CRX...the difference is day and night for the engine bay size......1.3 vs 1.5...unless the 1st gen was a SI then it wuz 1.5...carbs vs. fuel injection...etc....

The only diff in the 3G Civic and the 1G CRX is the wheelbase.
You can drop any B series hond engine into either of these cars. HAsport does make kits (as well as custom axles and wiring harnesses). you can drop a H22-23 in there, but that'd be freaking stupid unless you were just drag racing it, even then it would be too heavy for the car. I've seen a B20 in there with the HAsport kit, looked clean.

well u havent payed much attention to has sport they do make a bolt in kit for any b series engine into a 1st gen rex the b18c would be the only motor that may not fit cause of teh height of the head but the b16 and b18 and b20 are bolt in u only need to add some wiring for teh ecu to work in the older obd car

ur talking to the wrong guy when it comes to obd. its a lower form of obd hence teh BIG ECU in the car, and mpfi its a crude form of teh obd0 in the 88-91 cars and the 90-91 teg are obd0 the 92-up have obd1. teh obd0 can be put into a 86 crx very easily and the obd1 can to since u can put it into a obd0 car ive researched alot on the ecu.

The 1g CRX is supported by the aftermarket-- the parts are out there. I'm sick of folks bashing it. The bottom line is-- if your interest is parts that can be bought, sight unseen, from an online parts retailer's web-based database, without actually doing any research yourself, and without any proof of the quality and/or usefulness of the parts, aside of a new sticker for your fender, then I will wholeheartedly agree with you. If that's your motivation, you will not be satisfied by a 1g CRX. That's not a flame, it's the truth. But if you have a passion for automotive performance and possibly enjoy working on cars (the Si is simple to maintain) then you are doing yourself a disservice by discounting this vehicle.

People, please-- the 1g CRX is OBD1. You might do a web search on Google to learn more. Or here's a link for more info to get you started:
