I would suggest keeping the Z6 if all you have offered/availabel is the B16. you will gain only a little bit of performance, and not worth it in the end. For the money spent on teh swap, you could build a nice reliable Z^ with an extra 20-30 horses.
Most people looking for performance on the single cams go turbo. Up to 200whp, they are still fairly reliable and very peppy, and the best part is you can pass people on the highway without bouncing off the rev limiter in 2nd gear :lol
If your going for a more fun driving experience without going crazy,m a cold air intake, header, and tune will net you 20whp (peak, not necessarily drivable increases) for less then 500 bucks. I myself have a 40 dollar ebay full cold air intake (not the short style, which is good only for sounds) and a 50 dollar ebay header soon to be reinstalled, and my dinky d15b7 will be about 10-15 peakier horsepower.
a bigger throttle body can help with motor response , but will only be really useful with a new intake manifold. a blox or skunk2 manifold with work well.
