I would assume that the basic layout is the same as the JDM versions, mine is a 92 JDM VTEC and had 5 or 5 1/4 inch rounds front and back. The front are no problem. I replaced them with a component kit (main speaker, crossover and tweater), the speakers kitted directly into place with any mods.
The rears are trickier because the depth of the hole they go in is not good because of the boot (trunk) springs. I had to use cheaper slimmer speakers. It should not matter going that because the best of the sound should be upfront anyway.
To remove the door panel you need to pull of the triangular plastic trim on the inside of the mirror. There is a screw in the buttom of the plastic tray/holder in the door arm and a screw under it. Another under the door open lever. You have to carefully unpop the whole door card and slide it up.
