96 Accord pistons?

I really need a refresher course in geometry, did good while I was in it, but didn't retain any of the stuff I was taught I think I remeber reading something about clearance volume a couple days ago, and IIRC it said to measure it from the top of the piston, and not to include any ridges or dishes, if that's right, then the A-D grooves wouldn't alter the practical clearance volume (although it would affect the theoretical absolute clearance volume). Do you understand that, or have I once again managed to know what I mean and express it in gibberish?

Nope, I understand what you're saying. That may be absolutely correct. If your prior theory was correct, then those ridges would reduce detonation more than the increased CR was cause it.

Cool!!!!!!!! I might be learning stuff!! I'll try to figure out if I was right on what I was saying about ignoring riges and dishes, and let ya'll know.

Ahh, can't find it, but It' logical that if the grooves being there is factored into the equation for making the piston, that the CR would be where it should, right?

Yea, they'd probably shave off a fraction of a millimeter off the piston top to keep the CR the same. A structural analysis on pistons with protruding ridges would be fun though....and right up my alley lol.

Yea, let's just believe that they're right and it does work in one of the ways that have been suggested. Worse possible situation, we're wrong . The concept of them makes perfect sense to me, and I'm sure when the piston is custom built, they can give it the grooves and required CR.

haha, my power is like 2.3 mill, but Marques is pretty close to King; his power is like 100 Mill...each time he reps me, my power goes up another million....which is pretty much pointless now because even noobs can give other noobs full rep points so you can't really base trusting people off their rep anymore.

Yea, I occasionally rep noobs shame on me, but they usually at the very least have to make me laugh.
