It's like $3000 for the greddy. Too damn much. I planned on buying parts through Ebay and my local junk yard. i got some friends helping me out with putting it together. After I get the parts, I was going to install it at about 5 psi of boost. Upgrade the clutch and then go to 6 psi of boost. Upgrade the pistons and then go to 7 psi of boost. Then get an intercooler and go to 8+. The only problem I'm having is keeping my AC. I can't figure out how to do it, but I hear it can be done. The mods I have now are the I/H/E, Splitfire sparkplugs, and MSG ignition wires.

So where can I get the manifold?

$3000 for the GReedy kit? You can get it for about $1500 on groupbuycenter.com And you are going to need an intercooler WAY before pistons. And you can run up to and some more than 10 lbs of boost on stock internals if you have the right fuel and ingnition tuning done. Don't take this the wrong way, but with the knowledge it seems like you have you should buy a complete kit or do alot more research. I run 14.7's in the 1/4 mile with the Greedy kit and 7 lbs of boost with and eclipse intercooler and bov. Stock clutch, ignition, fuel pump whatever. ;)

no problem. It is a place in Florida that sells Greedy stuff for 28% off a lot of times that has the kit cheap. I have heard that there is a place in Texas that sells them cheap too. You will have to go to turbocivic.com to get the wiring diagram for the computer if you have a 96 ex because the directions in the kit are for a 92-95.

i dont know if this the same place the guy is talking about in TX. There is a place called Alamo Autosport is Arlington, TX that sells them for under 1500....ive compared there prices with Groupbuy.com and they Alamo is usually about 20 bucks more so that isnt bad. They have a web page: www.alamoautosports.com

I would strongly recommend the Greddy kit for a sohc motor. That is, if you want to be daily driven. It's really small which equals less turbo lag which equals more fun. But because the turbo is so small, you could only run a max of about 12-15 psi. I think that's plenty of boost if you plan to stick with stock internals.

later,

aj :)

MAX PSI ON SOHC THATS STOCK

Man I see some people are saying you can boost up to 12 - 15 psi with stock internals are you meaning stock but with a low compression head gasket? I remember on the last board people said 8 psi very max!, and that was with good tuning. My little sohc is at the mechanics as I type this, custom turbo setup intercooled with plently of fuel . Will be dyno tuned professionally once its setup. Hopefully in 2 weeks time. I am hoping to run 8 psi everyday on my car, the compression ratio on my sohc zc is only 9/1. If you read this Psikoticsi how much are you running on your zc and hows it going? Anyway what do you guys think 8 psi alright everyday BTW I only use 98octane. Cheers for any help.

i would not run more than 8 psi on a stock D16.......not unless you are the legendary matt3t4 who was crazy enough to run 14 psi! prop to him.........he had awesome tuners tho......

technically, changing a head gasket, will categorized a car not "stock" anymore. changing a head gasket lowers the piston compression therefore NOT considered "stock design"......ofcourse an individual can always say "stock, with the exception of........":)
