I've got a 98 civic ex that has the auto tranny in it. I was wondering what all I will need to switch it over to a manual. I've got access to a 92 dx that has a 5 speed in it. Can I get all the parts I need out of it? Will I need to swap out ecus? Any imput would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks guys!

You could try looking at trading in your 98 auto for a 98 5 speed. It would be easier, and depending on what you find, it could save you money.

I also have a 98 EX auto. However, there are many things to consider if you want to swap to a manual. First of all, if you sell your car later on, you would lose about 1,000 because it is a manual and not auto. Second, you have to get a slave cylinder, manual ecu, pedal assembly, different halfshafts, wiring harnesses, and that's just off the top of my head. Finally, by the money you spend converting to manual, it still would not be worth potentially ruining your car instead of trading it for a manual in the first place, hope this helps.
