It sounds like the misfire shit is either a distributor being WAY off, installed backwarsds, or all the wires are installed on the wrong cylinders. You should ahve your frined take the car to a professional and have them simply unhook all the spark plugs and wires, check them, and re install them. It most liekly is the wires being switched up. Keep us updated dude

If the ecu controlled the spark, you would not have a distributor. you would have what are called coilapcks, which are almost always better then disty's


Plus he said the cap and rotor looked good.

Either way, Im sure its the ignition wires that need to be looked at. never hurts to make sure lol

And your diagram is correct, all of hondas 4 cylinder engines fire 1-3-4-2
