You can have your local car audio shop install a custom sub enclosure in your spare tire well. This is usually the best way to go when trunk space is at a minimum. I currently have a 2000 civic coupe with 3 10" subs installed in the spare tire well. My amplifier, bass cube and capacitor are there as well.

I only lost about 2" of height in the trunk.

Check out my site if you wish, it may give you some ideas of what can be done.

Hope this helps

There's only one problem...what if you get a flat!

JL makes a Stealthbox for your car. It slot loads one 10" (I think) in the passenger rear corner of your trunk. It's a very stealth look and will take maximum advantage of your available trunk space.

If you don't like JL, or the price is a bit much (they are not cheap) you should look at a 10" or 12" that will work well sealed. This will give you the best compromise between SPL and trunk space. It's also very easy to pull off. I run a single IDQ12, and it's enough to keep me happy and make the hair on your neck stand up!!

There are plenty of options out there for sub choices.

Rob, then you're going to have a heart attack with a MAX:)
And if the MAX doesn't kill you, those horns will, hehe.:D

Do you think that if i get that custom sub that goes on the passenger side of the trunk, do u think i'll have to buy a seperate amp? My head unit is the Pioneer Deh-p9300. Does its built in amp have enough juice to drive it or not?

Head unit's don't really even have enough power for components. They are really about 12W RMS, and they clipp extremely easily. You will need an amp to power any sub that you buy.
