I got a Civic DX 5 speed and I wanted to add a tack.

What do I need to do to do this? Are all tachs the same, or are certain ones better than others? Is it a simple installation?

the easiest and imo best way to do it is get a cluster out of an EX or an SI. I put one in mine from an EX plugs right in.

ex cluster would be easy, yank the old one out, plug the new one in bada bing bada boom hehe

yeah but then your miles are going to be off. who wants that? I just got an 80 dollar 8000rpm shift-lite tach from Autometer and wired it myself with Nexus's instructions, I love it.

you can set the miles to whatever you want, people set back odometers shouldn't be impossible to move it forward.

Just keep track or move em forward - it shouldn't be hard to do that. Your cars ecu keeps track of the actual number of miles driven anyway. Until you swap the ecu.
