AEM Pullies

I was considering buying pullies cuz of my lack in low end due to the CAI. I was told that pullies would cause some sort of electrical problems for my car. I was wondering if anyone who has them installed has had any problems whatsoever. Btw, i have an 01 lude. Thanks.

it'll just drain your battery at a faster rate. you're a/c will also be adversely affected. same goes if you have a sound system in your ride.
how bad will it be if you have a sound system?i have 2 12's in the back and i want the pulleys
pullies are only really needed if you're going to race a lot. the tests done on various cars only added an average of 2.3 hp (if i remember correctly). when you spend over $200 for that little bit of a gain, it doesn't seem worth it. well thats my opinion at least.
I've got the pullies and a system. I've noticed at idle, lights tend to dim a bit. If it's a really long light I'll rev the engine about 1.5k seems to clear the problem completely. I've got to get around to buying a capacitor and the problem should correct itself. As for the A/C, I haven't seen a problem with it so far. It takes a bit longer to cool down but I like driving with my windows down on Sunny days anyways.
what is a capacitor and how much would that cost?

a capacitor basically goes inline with the flow of electricity. And anytime the power is being taken away from whatever it's supplying due to (in this case your engine at idle) it simply takes the energy it has stored over time and releases it so the power after the capacitor doesn't change from the usual power supply.

If this is too confusing tell me and I'll break it down more.

Peace

you guys are idiots. I don't know if it's different for the 5th gen ludes but i have the aem pulleys for my 4th gen. First of all, there's no a/c pulley. mine came with the powersteering and alternator pulleys. Second of all, who the hell would pay 200 dollars for them?! i paid 85 for mine, new, with belts and everything from landspeed. You don't need a capacitor, that's a waste of money. Don't be a bitch about seeing your headlights dim a little at a stop light...you can barely notice it. I have a big system in my car too, and i'm not worried that i'll drain my battery. The powersteering is barely affected. I don't even notice the difference when i'm going like half a mile per hour trying to get into a parking spot. as for power gains, i couldn't tell you how much they added because i installed my clutch and flywheel at the same time. It definately is a LOT faster though (probably mostly due to the flywheel and non slipping clutch).

ok, i was thinking more along the lines of the unorthadox ulta s or ultra ss, thats why i said that.
I heard pullies would wear out your water pump prematurely.....BS or no?
