Ok so my alternator seized up about a week ago and ive been looking for a new one......they wanted 180 bux for an alternator, so I just decided to rebuild my current alternator. I pulled it apart and sure enough it was the rear bearings.....the bearing retainer had broke and the bearing binded. Now im wondering how to get the shaft back in to the casing.....because those brushes are in the way, and I can figure out how to keep them down while i put it in. Is there a special way I have to do this.........or do the brushes need to be taken out. Ohh by the way it is an alternator for a D16Z6. Just leave some good instructions.

Thanks,
