Any chance the new NSX-R coming to North America? Unfortunately, I'm afraid the answer to my own question is NO... Anyone beg to differ?

I sure hope not, the NSX is ugly.. sorry to say.
Why do you think so? Cuz Personally, I think that the NSX is a beautiful car. Just state for us NSX lovers, why yuou think it's ugly.
I like the first type-r NSX. It worked a type-s-zero like nothing , and the s-zero was spanking the f355 , skyline and the skyline was working everything else....
Yeah, the last NSX-R was a great car. I am sure the new one will be even better. However, Honda will not sell the car here because the demand isn't really there for the NSX.
Sales are really slow for the current gen NSX. We only sold 11 cars in Australia last year. I hoping the new NSX will demolish ferrari's and porsche 911's

Doesn't attract me, it's ugly. To each his own though.
The dealership I work at only sold one in 2001.
I get to drive them everyonce and a while.

VTEC 8" behind you head is BAAAAAD!
I think they only sold around 200-250 NSX in the whole of the USA in 2001.

I rather have 6 speed over 5 speed manual.
Yeah I've heard thibngs about a 7 speed manual tranny and a system close to that of the new 360 with the F1 paddles. Magnifico!
actually no plans at all
ron tonkin acura in portland has a red with tan gut 02 sitting on the showroom...
the nsx is a bad ass car, but too much money, every time we have one, it sits on the showroom for a while, is nice that i can drive it once in a while, too much money for most dealer to stock it, the last new one we have that's ours sit there for over a year...
when the autoshow car came in, i took it for a spin , that thing is just ...damn...
Back to topic, no there won't be just like everybody said...
there might be a special ed. though in champ white...
the dealers that I talked to aren't stocking any 2002 NSX.

2002 NSX are given in priority to the dealership that have sold the most nsx since introduction. Now if your dealership have sold very few then you are out of luck.

There is only 200 of them coming over for 2002. All have been pre-ordered.
I am sure my dealer would be able to get a NSX in their showroom if they wanted to... it is the biggest dealer in Alberta and they move a lot of Acura a year. They just don't want to have one there if nobody is buying it. They can always order one if there is a buyer.
No offense, but the NSX cant outmatch the mighty Horse from Italy!! Next year though!! The NSX might give ferrari a run for their money!
In reality, I thought they had sold less than 100 in the US last year .....

The only differemce from the old one to the new one in the States is the more aerodynamic light, which are good for another .2 seconds off of the 0-100 time, and another 7 mph in top speed (168 before to 175 now).

We'll NEVER see any other model of the NSX other than what is already imported here. There is absolutely ZERO demand for it.

Especially when the Z06, and Viper cost less, and destroy it in all aspects. And the people shopping for a 360 modena, 911 Carrera 2/4, and other exotics wouldn't shop the NSX anyways.
<shakes head in disgust>

Dude, what kind of crack are you smoking???

The NSX has been a mid-engined, RWD car since it came out.
The face lift is really nice. I have always loved the NSX's... unfortunatly, their is no way any car from Japan that we really really want will ever come over... well, if it does, it won't be the same car.. ie. lancer
AHHHH. I see .....

So 1.0 G on the skidpad, and more speed through the slalom, faster acceleration numbers, and more top speed for less money makes the front engine, RWD cars provide less than the slower, lower handling, more expensive car ....... I get it! ;)
