I never really found replay value for any of the Final Fantasies, what basically kept me playing FF is the story.. and the little games on the side..

Personally I will not be playing it.. But I also have no experience in any online RPGs like Everquest or Asheron's Call or whatever so the idea just turns me off.. I'm waiting for FF XII.. But I'm sure it'll be a big hit for the online RPG fanatics.

I've always loved all the FF games...well i didn't get into 8 very much. FFX, i think, is one of the best if not the best (FF3 and 7 are my 2 other favorites). I can't remember when it was that I played a game from beginning to the end and didn't get bored once. I'm at the last boss right now but don't want to beat him cause i don't want the game to end So i'm goin around tryin to find all the secrets, hidden aeons and leveling my guys up instead

YUP.. i think i ended ff6 like 5 times and ff4 like 4 times... not much after that.

was it just me, or was X kinda short? also, i dont know if i made my characters too strong or whatnot, but the last guy was just too easy. kinda like an empty victory. (the only other ff i played was viii, and i thought the last guy in viii was a thousand times harder).

Yeah...the last boss was just too easy. Just one or two casts of Holy and its done for. I think the original monsters at the monster arena are much tougher. The game is too linear even by FF standards. The only non-linear part is the sphere grid, where my Yuna does 50k dmg just from a regular physical attack. I hope XI won't have a linear story, and better not be anything like Everquest. Jeez...somehow I'm really not looking foward to this online thing, it is so not Final Fantasy.

Online FF? That is not a good idea.
I love FF games. Since I have been out of the video game world I just finished 8 and working on 9. My roomate got 10 a month ago and has played it once. I can't believe it.

ff 7 through 10 are pretty frickin sweet..can't wait for 11..not sure about online..but i'll give it a shot

I think FF XI looks absolutely insane. Completely online with the ability to interact with other people playing across the country. FFX was awesome, maybe a little short, but Square will only improve on what they have done!
