I just bought 4 used filters from bhphoto.com and 3 of them did not come in any holder or container or anything. They just came in a plasitc ziploc type of bag.
Since I still considered my self new to photography, I dont know any tricks. Is there any tips or tricks to keeping the filters safe without the container? Also do they just sell the container by itself?
You can use the round case of the "Altoid Citrus" mints. Iam pretty sure they will fit it. It will look bulky but at least they will be safe or you can paint it black or something. You can also get some bubble wrap baggies.
I remember reading somewhere that if you use a filter too big you might throw off the AF and exposer metering or something because too much light is coming in the lense itself.
Also filters that size cost $$$ compaired to what i paid for mine
