I have a 99 Ex, so it has a D16Z motor rite?

Well i have i/h/e (AEM CAI, DC 4-2-1, Apex'i WS) and want to do more. No Nitrous, Supercharger, or Turbo. Not enough money. I am trying to figure out what else I can do. Since it is SOHC, do I really need to get a AEM Cam?

What can I do with the intake manifold and throttle body? Can I put another intake manifold on it? If so which one can I put on it and what is the benefit/gains with it? I know I can bore out the stock throttle body rite? So I don't need to get a new one? What should I bore it out to?

Could I get AEM Fuel Rail and Fuel pressure regulator? Will this actually benefit me at all b/c I am stock motor?

Also, would a V-AFC do anything. My impression is that they are really only for DOHC engines.

Will a high flo cat help me at all? Can I still pass smog in Cali?

Lastly, anything else I can do that I left out?

the next thing you can do is upgrade the camshafts..then camgears, chip the ecu, upgrade the clutch... ignition... etc...
oh yah camshaft on your sohc wont be as beneficial as a dohc but you will get some hp out of it depending on how aggressive they are..

Will upgrading the camshafts be totally worth it if I have an auto? I only have to replace my single cam too rite?

not enough money for nitrous? how much do you think a cam costs. is it you just dont want to do nos?

No, I have nothing against nitrous at all. I was seriously considering nitrous for a while, but I want the car to everyday power too. The cam and camshaft is kinda not what I was thinking, but it is an avenue. I am still considering the stuff above and wonder if anyone knows about it or a site where I can find more info?

You could get a gude head package but that gets expensive. or get a zex cam and full zex nitrous setup. your probably looking around a grand for that maybe a little more.

if u really want more power don't get the cam gear, it isn't worth it. i'd go for the msd ignition. and i believe ur engine is a D16Y8, but itz not like it makes much of a difference wif the info.

I would do some suspension mods. Springs, shocks, camber kit?, sway bar, tie bars, and strut tower bars. That should keep you occupied for atleast a little while. A good suspension will make your car way more fun to drive.

What will the MSD do, i have a msd 6a with coil, and everything just sitting around. I was actually going to sell it. But what does it add?

Does in my first post make any power or it just isn't worth it?
