I think if you're going for the JDM look, you really wouldn't want to wire them up with your parking lights because then it would look the same. Rather, you should wire them up to come on without your parking lights because that's how city lights were meant to run.

Personally, I would buy the JDM housing with the city light outlet already in it and then wire them up to run JDM style (city lights on with the parking lights off).

But if you like them, go for it.

Do you have a pic of the JDM housings and a link with info / prices? This may be the route I go.... >>> I am also considering HID! Thanks

I've got the city lights in my car. Its the H4 kit. And its a purple bulb inside. Looks great at night and turns heads. Just make sure to add a switch to turn it off or on in case of cops.
Do you have any pics of the city lights? I would love to see how they look:)

LudeAction: Just enjoying SHO b4 I start school in the near future

The JDM housing are juss black chrome with no center reflector in the main headlight bulb. The citylight, u can barely tell.

That's incorrect. The JDM housing has an opening for the citylight and is not always black-chrome -- the CTR headlight is the one that comes in the black-chrome. The point of city lights were that they would run alone while driving in the city, hence the name. And as far as I know they're a standard equipment on JDM Civics.

Here's a picture of how it would look (the city light circled in red):

Wasnt there a huge thread about these lights before SHO crashed? I could have sworn there was. Anyways... I like the amber ones the most, they will look good since they match your parking lights. The red is ok. I just dont like the flashy colors... they remind me to much of a christmas tree going down the road... along with altezzas, underbody kits, light up washer squirters, etc. Just keep it clean! good luck.

I had a thread like this before the crash

I may grab a set...

I e-mailed about 50 ebayers asking about the $9 ones. About 15 people wrote back. I'll post the replies later since my girl is about to call and I need to take a shower still.

I may look into the Polarg ones since I know Polarg is a good brand. ...or maybe I can just buy Polarg replacement bulbs ;)
