just how difficult is it to tune a VAFC?

to synchronize it when you first install it, easy...but inorder to tune it correctly, you have to bring it to a dyno. There is no way you can possibly know what needs to be tuned ie; fuel,VTEC X-Over, etc.

So bring it to a dyno and tune it the right way, and the worst thing you can do is copy another person's settings.

Thanks man, i'm considering this or a field's VTEC controller..... i've used a fields before and liked it, but the apexi seems overbearing with tons of screens and options

I never had experience with the field's unit...but the V_AFC is very nice, tuning is somewhat of a hassle but IMO its very much worth it. You can adjust a/f ratios in 500-1000rpm increments,Wide and LOw throttle positions,etc... and its very appealing

yeah, ive had both the fields and the VAFC, the fields is a total waste of money IMO. Unless you get it for dirt cheap. All of the screens may seem confusing at first, but it's actually really simple once you see how it works.

JUST GOT MY VAFC TODAYYY..YESS..it does look confusing mann.. but i'm taking it to a dyno soon
