alright.. i plan on ordering the apexi ws catback exhaust on friday.. and i was wondering how hard the instillation is...

does it involve any welding or is it straight bolt on..

i can get access to a car lift which will make instillation simpler..

thanks in advance

if you ordered the full catback it should just bolt on...all bolts and hangers, but no welding. Since you have a lift it should be fairly easy.
tight.. thanks man

but, i found out that the lift fell through...

can i still install it...?
ooh- without a lift installing the exhaust will be a chore. It's possible I guess, but unscrewing all those bolts while on your back won't be fun or easy. Also the piping that you are swapping is fairly heavy and very bulky. See what you can do about doing your install on a lift.
it'll be an easy installation. just try to get the car high up as you can. the only hard problem you will see is gettting the hangers on and off. the catback exhuast comes in i think 2 pieces. one long pipe and the muffler section. the long pipe connecting to the cat will be easy to put on. the part where the pipe and the muffler bolt on.. its going to be a lil rough gettin to the bolts.
how do u guys get access to a lift? it's not like i can go to the dealer and say "lemme use one of those for an hour" (insurance reasons, they tell me). . . and i don't have $1,000 to spend on a lift. . . and it's not like i could ask one of those quick-lube places like jiffy lube either. grrr

I'm lucky enough to be able to get onto the military base near my house (MCAS Miramar) and they have a hobby shop where they let you use their lifts for $3 an hour.
damn, that's pretty sweet... i wish i had access to a lift. it would make everything so much simpler. . . i hate crawling under my car just for an oil change. . . and hate having to take my car in just so i can rotate the f'n wheels. . .
Another thing you might need a new CAT since it didnt fit my factory one.......well at least for an Accord....

And the install wasnt hard at all since I got the same...check my sig.

and for the exhaust you'll be far satified like me if you're looking for a quiet exhaust with power.
thanks for all the replies everybody!!
do you have jack stands? maybe borrow from a friend or something. those would really help, air tools also. make sure you spray a nice amount of some type of lub, like wd-40 or something to help loosen the bolts. the removal of the bolts are pretty much the difficult part. as for the hangers, use a flat head screwdriver to pop them off. and the rest would be all cake. :p

yaeh... i plan on goin to a friends house and usin sum jacks and maybe those things you drive your car up on.. except i would have to back up on.. lol.. but thanks bro..
it should be easy...my friends got a 96 hatch...but the tards gave him a 95 DX Coupe exhasut system, its pretty gay...but i got his N1 so im happy
i just swapped in a cat back on my ride, i did it myself , so it wasn't as quick as i hoped. i just jacked up the front and right side as high as my jacks would go, supported the car on stands, and slid under and went to work. if u got rusted bolts or siezed ones, invest in some liquid wrench or wd40...had to soak mine fora bit and eventually got em free. for the hangers it was mad easy to slide off, just spray some of the lube onto the hanger in between the rubber hanger and the metal hanger on the car, work it back and forth like 2-3 times and it'll slip right off.

took me about 1.5 hours to do myself and i was using good o'l elbow grease to get it off and installed.

good luck!
