Hey everyone, I just joined today. I bought a Honday Civic Ex in may and have been looking for a Honda forum since. I am hoping to add mods to my car eventually but being the poor college student that I am, right now I think I just have to be jealous of everyone elses. He (yes his name is Maxwell, not mine) has a spoiler, sunroof, cd player that he came with so you see that I have work to do. I really want to get new lights but haven't found ones that I am def into. Hope to get some ideas here

I think first things first you should go with a drop. What year is your car? How much money do you have to work with?

Okay so I already was a bad girl for posting a thread in the wrong section...sorry

Right now I have limited funds as far as cash goes but my trusty credit card. I actually do want to drop my car. I need new tires just because its time and am looking for good tires or maybe rims. I don't want to make it a ricer though so I want to watch in what order I do things. Thats y I came to you all for help and just to meet people with Hondas. My car is a '99. btw...love the vtech. If I could have found one of those around the time I was looking it would def be the car I would have now.

its vtec and i dont think it comes for civics only the si and R

Since you have limited funds check on ebay for some good prices. You can have some good luck sometimes on like strut bars, intakes, exhuast. Sometimes springs and other stuff.

ever heard of the term "excumunication" ? well it doesn't just happen in the church...we do it here in the Honda Community as well

....just remember..u cant spell CRAP without APC

my advise for a newb~

Dont skimp on money. if its expensive, dont settle for less. save for it. beacuse ur gona start to realize how much a waste of money it is to do everythign half ass, an then have to do it again!

this goes for everthing. Rims, suspensoin, engine, looks, stereo. everything. dont go for less!

Haha. Yea the pope of sho will excomunicate u and u will be forever tortured in car hell. Where every car has a spoiler higher than its roof and an unpainted body kit while its rolling on donuts.

The first thing I would do it drop the car.

Just make sure youdon't buy any of your accessiories from Pep Boys >>>> that is the home of APC a.k.a. CRAP.

Does anyone have the gif. that has APC then the letters move and the "R" drops and it forms CRAP? That gif. is badda$$!!!!

I understand about being on tight budgets. I'm poor college student too.

I suggest for you to drop your car later on. Since you'll need additional than just only spring itself. You'll need to adjustment, aftermarket shocks (if dropped more than 1.8 inches), correct camber kits. Just do basic exterior things like ctr headlights and jdm stuffs. Until you saved the money that you're able to afford for drop then go ahead. But just do your research before you decide to drop your car.

Okay for one...sorry I said VTech. I guess I am just a clueless girl. I have only been around for two days and already messed up twice.

I am really considering a drop but the one thing that I am worried about is scrapping bottom at certain places. And so far I have heard people say drop first, tires later and others said wait for the drop. I do know a place near me that drops for about $100. Is that good?

I am definately looking to tint. I don't have any now. Not sure what the laws are in PA about that. I like the tint that has the silverish look towards the bottom. I have seen it both ways...towards the bottom and the top and I like the bottom. Im just hoping I will like it as much on my car as I do on others. Still in consideration though what I want to do..I seriously want a lot but am not sure how to go about it. Not good with decision making!!
