I dont see very many people on here with Ninja's. I have a Ninja. Will probably trade it in for a 2001 ZX-9R(right now I have a 2000 ZX-7R). But I see a lot of people getting YZF's, CBR's, and Gixxers. Why does everyone seem to dislike Kawasaki bikes?

It just depends were you are. I know on the local army base Ninjas and Busas are very popular. My first motorcycle that I bought on my own when I was 19 was a Ninja. For some reason, I haven't owned one since. Just about every other liter bike is an R1 and big Gixxers and Busas are pretty popular too. So last summer my choice was between a new 2005 ZX-10 or a CBR1000RR. I went with the Honda since I bleed Honda.

Trust me I would love a 1000RR. But I got such a good deal on the Kaw's(750, then 900). That I couldnt pass em up. But I have to admit. I do love the Kaw green(even though my ZX9R is orange). But I am a Honda man.

I had a ninja a while back. An ex250 :D
250's are good starter bikes. But so is a 600. And if you buy a 600 you wont want to sell the bike for something with a lil more performance. As long as you respect the power a bike has. You can learn on anything. But you have to respect the power it has. My first was a 750. It took me a lil while to get comfortable on it. But after that no problem at all. But Im a conservative rider. Although I have opened it up to very high triple digits. It was on a road that is a four lane highway. And around 11 am on a Sunday. So I was the only one on the road. If there was any traffic at all. I wouldnt have done it. Anyway, a Ninja 250 is a great bike. Just kinda hard to find someone to sell it to. Most people go usually get a 600.

No offense but I belive Ninjas are poor man's bike, regardless of CC #s. You can get better deals on them, maintenence isn't much. I'd say *most* of the Ninja owners I've met are either poor college students or people who can barely afford a bike, also all most all of these people I've rode with have bought used gear as well. Again this is simply my personal experience and opinion, however the pattern seems to be fit in very well.

Yea, go for it if you feel it fits. You only forgot one small detail, I said MY personal experience jackass :btu Sort of like when Honda people get mad when we talk about " wanna be stunt riders" buying used Hondas and *most* of those bikes are 10 different colors because they cheap asses pieced the bike togather from salveaged/accident bikes. I said no offense but if you were really offended then maybe the shoe fits.

No the shoe doesnt fit at all. But I see no need to down someone because they got what they could afford. Lets not forget for years that Kawasaki green ruled AMA. Remember the Muzzy Raptor? It was a joke. Chillout....change your tampon.......lighten up a bit. It was a joke. So were those by the way.

Yeah Team Green is just as good as any of the other big 3 japanese. I do remember Miguel Duhamel and the Muzzy Kawasaki winning back in the day.

If the shoe doesn't fit then you shouldn't have bothered with your sarcastic remarks. I am chilling, do not wear tampon (don't know about you). I wasn't putting Kawis down, simply told you why I THINK some people stay away from them, atleast around here. Other than that its everyone's taste, some will love it other will hate, regardless of CC/HP/Color Scheme.

Now that statement I can agree with. Sportbikes arent cheap by any means. No matter the manufacturer. Unless it has been salvaged. They are cheap. They are built for performance. And we all know speed costs.

Yes the 14 is fast as hell. But just like the busa I dont think its meant for cornering. Just to big. I would recommend getting the zx7. They are some nice bikes. Perform very well.

imo...ninjas are nice. but lets face it, they are a starter bike. but a GREAT one at that. i think the best "newer looking" crotch rockets are the ninjas and the katanas. however i did ride a 600cc ninja and then a cbr600 and lemme tell you, that honda could keep up with a gixxer750 no questions asked.

The Katana line is very dated compared to even the oldest models in the big 4 brand's street model lineups.

why ofcourse, why wouldn't it? its a Honda for crying out loud. My Honda lawnmower is faster than both my Yamaha bikes. As long as its got the H insignia it can hang with any bike any size any displacement anywhere, any rider as well. :btu

Btw, Katana is a poor man's bike as well. :ninja flame suit is on bitches!

Now you say Kaw's are a poor mans bike. Well if you look at the ZX-9R times compared to the CBR929RR,CBR954RR and hell even the CBR1000RR. You will see. ITS ALOT OF SMART PO FOLK OUT THERE. Dont even compare the ZX-10R to the CBR1000RR.
