Has anyone ever done the auto to manual conversion? And if so than what were the difficulties than you ran into and what things should I know before I start this project. I drive a 1992 Honda Civic hatback.

It is just changing out the tranny right, so he could sell the old one to make some money back!

You can get a complete used D series engine swap for like $300.. I don't think anyone's gonna give him too much for a used d16 automatic transmission..

You need a new ecu, the clutch cylinders, gauge cluster (optional..), pedal assembly, all the parts GhostRider listed and some other things..
i already did this conversion, everything is pretty much bolt-on....your going to need the following parts

manual tranny
clutch master cylinder
cluth lines
shift linkages
shifter
pedal assembly
manual ecu

oh yeah...the hardest part is with the ignition...the car wont start after you do this conversion because the car thinks its in d4(drive)....you going to have to trick the car's ignition into thinking that it is in park at all times. pretty easy to do....you just have to run 12 volts to 2 of the ignition wires under your steering wheel. get a chilton manual to find out which ones....
i hope u got a lot of money because labor is gonna be out the ass.
