When u covert from auto to maual does the shift linkage have a place to go or do u have to make one?

so in a 2gen crx where do you need to put the holes for the shift linkage
I'm not sure... Take a look under someon's standard trans car and find out.. anyone else know?
I think it's right behind the autoshifter hold down bolts, they are just the wrong size I think if it's anything the same as the civic
