Does anyone know the average life of the shocks on true coilovers? For example If I were to buy the Tein coilovers how long would the shocks that come with the set up last me. Once the shocks are worn down do I buy just the shock cartridge or do I have to buy the whole threaded shock body assembly to? Does anyone know How much the shocks from Tein are?

i think teins have a lifetime warranty...when the shocks wear out you send them back to have them serviced (and its free i believe)

imagine the shipping costs...over to japan and back:eek:
How long the shocks last depends on how you drive and if you customized your spring rates. Like lOOkatme said, even though you can send them back to Japan for revalving, it probably wouldn't be worth it. If you're not racing or autocrossing, you don't need full coilovers anyway. You might want to look at a spring/shock combo, which can be as effective as some coilovers if you get the right ones.
my skunk2 coilovers are very stiff...might ride harsh but the handling is very well cause they are so stiff....not much body roll and I can take smooth corners very fast. I need new stickier tires before I try anything crazy:) my stockers are getting bald.
