I have a honda del sol with a b16a2

I have some problems.. My engine sounds rough and weak.. i dont feel much power when i floor it... esp when i rev the engine ova 5500rpm n vtec engages.. big cloud of smoke blows out of my exhaust... and it coughs every time i take my foot off the accelrator... is it the Head gasket that has a leak/split or is the piston rings worn out?? or something???

Yes stock engine with stock ECU the only think i have modded is the fuel regulator, 2.25 exhaust system with extractors... thats it.. The engine was working fine... then suddenly i herd the car backfired when was draggin... a few weeks later.. the engine started soundin weak n blowing smoke.... when vtec engages... now its getting worst....

White smoke.. alot when vtec is engaged.... something seems to be buring the oil even with new oil...

No idea... but i think its been lowered cos i cannot feel the vtec power pull anymore... it just sounds soo weak...
