Right now i have a 98 ex automatic transmission, i want to put a b16a2 in there. With the complete swap it comes with a transmission. I also have plans to swap to 5 speed ,should i do the 5 speed swap now and save 4 the engine?Or would it be best to save and do them both at the same time?

You wouldn't be able to install the engine until you got a new tranny anyways.Unless you got an ls auto or something but that would be a waste to buy a b-series auto tranny only to replace it with a 5 speed.

get yer engine and shit, then figure what what else your going to need, ie. shiftlinkage, pedel set, clutch mastercylinder, clutch hardlines(since it's gonna be a hydro tranny), you'll also need a shifter, all the bushing for the shifter, if it's a DX your doing the swap on you'll need to mod your exhaust to met up with the new exhaust manifold, if your putting an odb2 engine into an odb1 car, or vise versa get ready for the wire headache from hell, unless you want to buy a $300 harness adapter, also don't be suprised if you key won't turn when your all finshed up, because since your cars an auto you have to keep part of the auto shifter to trick the ignition into thinking your always in park

i'm by no mean trying to scare you away from doing the swap, i did it and i'm REALLY HAPPY with the out come, but it's a lot of work that really pays off in the long run, no matter what anyone else say's it's an awsome feeling, and it's like getting a whole new car!!!!
