Hey guys what's up. I was thinking about getting a turbo for my car pretty soon. I'm running a b18 with stock internals right now. What would be some good mods (internally) to do before i throw the turbo on? And what kind of turbo would you suggest. I want something thats gonna rip a lot of domestics apart, not to mention some imports. Thanks.

Is is a B18b or B18c1 or B18c5?
Drag Gen 3 turbos or F-Max turbos are the best complete kits that I've seen. They come with everything, BOV, wastegate, all piping, even intercooler! That is why they cost like $3000. All you would need after that is a boost controller. But for internals, go to www.theoldone.com and they have pistons and rods plus that guy really knows what is good for honda motors!
this may be a bit off topic, but got any pics of your ride jai? Looks like you got nice mods to that baby.

9.0:1 compression pistons, rods, valves, cam gears, decked and o-ring block, ductile iron sleeve, port and polish head, intake manifold :)

t3/t4 turbo, Blitz fmic, HKS wastegate and bov, Blitz sequential boost controller, biger throttle body, three inch down pipe, HKS titanium cf hyper 75mm exhaust:)

MSD Digital 7 ignition, 550cc injector, Paxton fuel pump, fuel regulator, fuel rail:)

Motec m8 or (if youre on a budget) Accel 7.0 DFI, Blitz SBCi-D boost controller, power meter, turbo timer :)

thats should get you started :) if you have more money , you can start on building a ls/vtec :)
pics...

sure i got pics. this one's a little outdated, but pretty much shows my car. The only things I have done since this picture are the interior, engine swap, exhaust, and a kit that's sittin in the garage...don't wanna go for that cool painted/primered combination you know.

if it's a B18B you don't need to touch the internals right off the bat. If you want to get anything, you might want to think about a thicker headgasket just to be safe.

A Drag Gen III or an F-Max kit would be great for your ride. They include all of the necessary hardware to get you started. The kits even include some fuel management upgrades. With the kit, you could probably run a max of 8 psi to start out.

Once you get the kit and you yearn for more boost, then you can start thinking about stand alone engine management and building up the internals.

hope this helps,

aj

ps. head over to the turbo forum. There are a lot of other turbo gurus who would be willing to help you. :)
