Which cams would everyone say be better for the JRSC? My motor is fully built..fully ported and polished head, 10:5:1 compression, forged bottom end.

All motor it makes 189 hp and 145 ftlbs on a dynapack.

Im going to boost it with a JRSC and wondering if I should leave the 404 in there or swap it out for a JG 301 cams. What do you guys think??

Jackson Racing doesn't recommend changing the cams.
With the test they did (not after-market cams though) used ITR cams on gsr and gsr on ITR, they lost power.
I was planning on getting the CROWER 62402T-2 for the non-vtec model.
They are made for turbo and Superchager set-ups.
They have less of a duration 203intake and 203 exhaust but a much higher lift 469 intake and 460 exhaust.
I am still not sure on what I will do yet. I will be increasing my boost by 2psi and adding hondata s200 this year. Next year forge the engine and then I'll decide about cams after alot of research!!!

Just put the blower on there now if you have it and see what it does. Besides JRSC's FAQ section, I really haven;t seen anyone actually trying it for factual proof.

Then swap ou tthe cams to stock or whatever and see what it does for the comparo.

I didnt get a chance to run at the track, but I would say around 14.0-14.5 in the 1/4.

Its actually was in my car. I just recently took my charger apart to work on the S-tube and polish the manifold.

I was boosting it at 12 psi and it was running way too hot. I had too much heat soak. Timing was retarded a lot. I was able to push out 217hp and 171 ftlbs on the dynapack with the same tuner for 189hp.

Its sad to see only 30hp and 25ftlbs with 12psi. I know there is something wrong and one of that area could be cams, besides the heat soak issue. Thats why Im wondering which cam to use.

After working on the charger Im planning on reducing the boost level to 9psi and also inject water/methanol 50/50. The tuner said if I was able to get some race gas or a way to reduce heat soak that I could gain another 30hp. I will be content with 250hp and oh say 180ftlbs?

Im just asking around to get some opinions before I put the charger back together.

Although they probably won't make that much power (probably less). Your M45 at 12psi is going to be really hot.

you're really right!!! but he said he's gonna drop the psi to 9lbs
a good idea to add an extra 20whp and to reduce heat is the LHT intercooler.

LHT!!!! The guy I got mine from was running a stepper pulley and a CRV pulley and saw almost 10 psi. His intake temps were about 70 degrees lower on the the dyno then your normal B18b.

Yeah I would like to get one too, but wow you got such a good deal on your manifold. If I could find a deal like yours I will jump on it right away. It was $600 right? What a deal.

Thats the exact setup I have right now too. Stepper pulley and CRV crank.

you got a b18b also??? what's psi are you at?? did you dyno??? and what are your 1/4mile times???

sorry for all the questions, I want to have an idea before I install everything!!

Yeah, I have a b18b. To be honest...it is not that fast( but it scoots pretty good) and if I knew before what I know now I would have put a B18c1 in my car and then got a kit for that. But....now that I have it I am going to get the most power out of it that I can. It feels much faster now then it did before, but at 5100 feet the elevation kicks my poor car's ass. I am sorry to say that I have no dyno time nor have I been down a 1/4 mile shot.

Hehe!! I feel your pain!!!
I thought the same thing!!! I should have just swaped to the b18c.
But now I've been doing alot of research and I've got some nice plans for this car.
Soon it will no longer be my daily driver (getting soon an A4), and the supercharger will meet the dark side...
