dont think so. and why its junk in terms of a crvtec it has a different block than the crv b20 and b16. its basically worthless to u and the motor mounts are different to the motor sits crooked in the bay anyway

and i fergot to say that you can put a vtec head on it but if i plan this i dont want to...i jes want the displacement of a 2.1l b-series motor and something a little different from someone else. how many civic/crx owners can say they have a b21 in their car?

http://ludicrous2_0.tripod.com/vtec/index.html

theres the link ...so saying that it cant be b20/21 vtec is untrue. the crv wasnt the first car with the b20 motor..the 90 prelude si was, and then there was a b21 in the 91 prelude si.

the b sereis out of the preludes are different blocks than the crv ones. don't mount the same. -

*sorry, I was mistaken with the above statement. the block does mount the same, but the engine is a piece of crap, so don't even bother with it. b16 bore, but with a super long stroke, go with a b18c. I know different is cool sometimes, but not when it's an inferior choice to what's proven to rock.*

u cannot put a vtec head on it. first off and second it wont mount in ur car secondly. have u looked at the motor when its in the prelude its crooked. y not get a b20z im not trying to sound like an ass but its not likely it would work in any other car but a prelude

For me to say if it fits or not, I can't say for sure. Some people are disputing it, but if you have seen it in a CRX, then it can.... but I'll let you know this, There's a reason that you don't hear alot about a hybrid with B20/21 from a prelude, It's because those engines ARE crap. They supposodly drive crappy, and you'll have to replace your axles, ALOT!! If I were you, I would go with the CR-V motor....

in the first place i didnt ask if the motor was good or bad. only thing bad i can see about the motor would be in the head. puttin a vtec head on this block is like doing a ls/vtec conversion....but this wouldnt be my choice. i would only wanna turbocharge the motor and have the added pull from the torque due to the higher displacement. it be cool saying you have a b21 in yer car. i would also heavily port out the head and use newer cr-v cams. the cam and the head is probly the only major power diference between the motors. i fergot what the power figure was for the b21 but i think it was almost the same as the b18b motors. the newer crv motors actually have around 150 hp to the flywheel which is about 123-126 to the wheels. only reason that know one thinks about them is because noone hears about them that much. its still a b-series motor...the one with the biggest displacement.

oh well i hope noone thinks about this swap after they read this. doing this swap would only be worth it if you put a vtec head on it.

all my motor is is a jdm d16a6

how many people can say they have a built (jdm d16a6)sohc zc in their car...hehe. i suppose i could do 11s easy on slicks on 14-15lbs. then when the block gets resleeved....the boost goes even higher.
