Today I washed my engine and as I was leaving the car wash it started to whine, real quiet though so I didn't think too much of it. On my way to work it was doing it again so i figured it just needed to dry out. it sat for ten hours and is still whining and as i pulled in my driveway the battery light came on...I tried to find other people who had this happen and found that letting it dry and using wd-40 on electrical connections to remove water. any advice would be awesome, I'll see what it does in the morning and check the wiring. I hope I didnt ruin the alternator or something, that would suck.:confused
