battery light

2001 Civic.... At 3000 RPM's my battery light comes on then flickers and goes out. I've checked all connections and the belt. Everything is tight . Checked the voltage at the battery with car off got 12.5 v. With it running got 14.25v. Everything turned on in my car never dropped below 14v. Any ideas?

Output v should be 13.5-14.5. It should not drop. Probably the internal voltage regulator inside the alternator going bad. Most parts stores can test the alternator while installed.
