Beat by a Civic!

i got i/e/h automatic 4dr ex with 65shots of zex.
My bottle was low-800psi with bottle heater. running stock 15 inch rims. launched with brake torque at 2 rpm.

his civic 5spd coupe ex i/e/ headers? stock engine no swap.
he beat me by 1/2 car length. I was by his side through out the whole time and was slowly pulling closer.

Should i be faster?

damn my accord is so fucken slow even with nitrous.

the only thing that is wrong with my car is:
busted cv joint & upper ball joints , tps at +.48v (idle);+2.8v(WOT)
Rear STOCK sway bar is loose, the nutz that connects the bar to the left side behind the tire is missing. what size nutz are those?
my hood is fucked bent because some idiot with a 4x4 backuped and hit my car. (going to replace hood with carbon fiber) extra from their insurance check is going towards MSD ignition.

Im going to get my axles and upper control arm replace. And i need to find me a new tps. Anyone got a spare TPS?? (-.48v @ idle; 4.5v @ wot)

There are so many things wrong with my car...too many to list....
hahahaha
am i the only one with a slow accord that always have major minor problems????

loosing to a civic with 65 shots is really bad... you must be pulling mid 16s even with nitrous.

there must be something seriously wrong with your car. get a thorough check up and fix all the problems.

when i had my accord i ran a 14.8 with 65 shots on nitrous.

well i don't know but i've never ever lost to CIVICs, except highly modified SI models....

i/h/e (exhaust is oversized which i think helped in my nitrous run)
fuel pressure riser
aem pullies
msd 6a/magnecore 8.5mm and cold plugs
1/4 tank of gas
stock rims on front only

yeah.. somethings seriously wrong with your car if he doesnt have a beefed up b16 or b18 in that car. loosing to a NA d16 while spraying is bad man...

somethign wrong here... are you sure the civic doesnt have a swap? cuz with a factory civic isnt that fast stock accord smoke it ez... am i right??

check your tranny fluid... you have an automatic, right? Thats what it sounds like based on your launch. The level might be down because the atf might be getting burned up from all the hard driving. if its getting up there on miles, and you have been driving aggressively (...racing) then you may have to change your fluid. it may be burned out. Its simple to do though, so not a problem.

or maybe it was just a fast civic... and you just lost.

yah my atf is very brown..suppose to be red. ill get a flush
that civic has no swap, cause he's my bro in law's friend and that what he told me, just basics plus maybe weight reduction and other mods, no force induction.

how fast do 98 ex 5 spd civics run the 1/4 mile? My friend has one and wants to race. Oh yea he only has i/e.

I think you shouldn't tranny brake you will get a better launch.I beat my neighbors 98 civic dx hatch with an itake with my moms 96 25th anv. edition accord with nothing on it at all non-vtec and its an auto beat his ass every gear. How the hell did you lose to that I think that guy is talk out his ass i/e(bull shit).

You need to get your tranny flushed and maybe hit the dyno to get it tuned. I've beat a few civics that are on nitrous, and a few decently modded Si's. Never lost to a civic in my life. Only Honda/Acura I've lost to was a 94 GSR, by about 1/2 a car length, maybe less. L8r

i recently bought a 97 civic HX w VTec-e (115HP)...
its stock... i got owned a 94 LX 4D auto w/ intake!
