It should be a contact between your short shifter and the exhaust system.

Try to bend exhaust brackets in order to clear contact.

Thanks for the tip. I have been meaning to get out there and check it out, but everytime I plan to do it there is more damn snow on the ground. I think I am going to check the bushings, tighten the bolt, and check for clearance. One of those three should fix it.

Our Skunk2 shifter combined with our shift knob.
"Our" I see... Can you get them for me for a good price? What is the best anyways? I know Tuan can answer that : ) What and why? I know certain brands are good for certain cars... but it doesn't mean that brand make the best for Tegs right?

I have had a few short shifters in my time, and I honestly believe they are one of those mods that don't do much in certain instances. My turbo Si definately benefitted, but my Teg seems to have a very well balanced shift, as a matter if fact, 2 of my friends with 3 gen Tegs have gone back to a stock shifter, the first one broke, the second got tired of the shifter to exhaust clank(B&M). I think in a 3rd gen Teg, they are a waste of money....just my .02

not really a waste of money when you can get an exact replica (checkpoint) of the DC short shifter for only $20. :p

Our, because i work for them. You wont have a problem with breaking shifters with the Skunk one, its solid and weighted.
