JBL GTi series rule!

I have the 408 Gti component system and the 1200 Gti Subwoofer with a Kenwood amplifier. Sounds like heaven!

your headunit won't put out 45x4 true watts. more like around 20 wattsx4. if you want your speakers too play its fullest..then u should get an amp for them.

best go with jbl's, at this price range, it would be best buy... focal, eclipse, wou;d get you maybe a pair of decent speakers... dynaudio... maybe one tweeter.

Seriously, for the price of the "low end" big name brands, you can get "high end" jbl/infinity/other hk brands for much less $$$ and better sound.

hehe im really not much of an audio person...so your post doesnt really make sense to me...sorry.

your telling me to not put speakers on the rear shelf? the stock ones back there now are both blown totally...i think i need something back there. i have to use 4.5s because thats what they are stock...can i modify them to fit 6.5s or 6x9s?

jbl speakers eh? ill look into it.

oh yes and the $400 i said i was spending on speakers did not include the amp.

speakers in the rear shelf r a waste of money.....u cant hear them with the subs going and if your into sound quality it will just screw up the sound stageing................ what kind of car do u have.... if u go to your local car audio dealer they probley have prefab kicks(this alsow u to put biger speakers in your car and helps with SQ) they will probley cost 100 or so but they r worth it.... u also mite beable to cram some 6.5" in the stock location.....

lock on ebay u should beable to find a nice set of diamond components or some boston pros....

hope this helps and if u have any other Q. just ask

Are you sure the stock speakers are 4 1/2's? I thought both the rear deck and door speakers were 6 1/2's...
