Dude, get a solder sucker, or soldering wick. go to RadioShit to get either of the two.

Also, just a tip, you might want to put a bit of solder onto the joints first before removing the solder with the sucker or wick. The solder helps distribute the heat from the soldering iron, so that all the solder in the LED pin region turns liquidy.

Kimstry,

Since I'm a paranoid freak about cutting wires (just in case if I want to restore the car back to stock) I created a daughterboard which snaps into the bulb socket like a light bulb, and then curved the LED to illuminate the fan buttons.



The LED curving does not have to be done if you shave off the top of the LED then buffer it down. I didn't think about shaving LED's 8 months ago...

If you guys want more pics posted up, let me know. I'm just limited on web space, that's all.

Yeah, but you can probably buy pre-made bulbs that don't require solding. I believe Illusion found some site that sold that type of stuff.

If you're not comfortable with soldering, then I guess go with that route although the bulbs might be pretty expensive ($10 US each?)
