I see the difference between the ew-1 and the ew-2 but are all of the internal engine parts the same? i have an ew-2 in my 85 honda civic, and the only parts that i can find aftermarket are for the ew1. head gaskt set, valves

That's my motor engine , any one knows if the 127 Hps are whp or there are isolate hps? :confused

I test my car with all my mods in the dyno in Mexico and gave me a Score of 145 Hps , buuuuuut I never do the test with out the modifications , so I want to know how much did I obtain with my mods? :confused

who can help me.. the edm and jdm b16s theres a power dif of like 8 hp and so forth but how do you know witch is witch ... my engine is stamped b16a its has a y1 tranny and i dont have alot of info on the donner car ... wheres it from?

from what i understand the edm b16 was stamped b16a1 where the first gen b16 in japan was jsut stamped b16a. there was no first gen b16 in the us..As far as visually telling them apart besides the stamps I don't know of any differences. The major differences are that the edm version is 150 hp and the jsm is 160 hp. torque numbers are 106 and 111 respectively. I think the internal differences are the cams..because form what i can find the compression numbers are identical.
