Black Widow Side Skirts - Different Styles?

Below are 4 different pictures of Black Widow side skirts. Is it me or is the first two different from the second two? Maybe it is just the angle... the second two seem to flare out a bit - notice in the front of the skirts how they make a /_ shape? Where the first two are more |_ in the front?

Mike - where did you get your side skirts from?

Dang, that second civic is the $hit!! Well before the color change, I got my kit originally from Versus in Phoenix, but I got the car done in LA. I got the BW sides and rear, and the Streetfyghter II front end. Since I did get the work done in LA, Ground Designs delivered the car to PJ's for me. So, I got them from Versus, but they're original GD. Hope this info helps.
Oh yeah, you got a good eye. I wouldn't have ever noticed that probably:)

Ok let me see if i got this right... You got the kit from a dealer called Versus in Phoenix... but you got your car painted/modded in LA @ Ground Designs.

So in other words - they were customized to look that way by ground designs or is ground designs a body kit dealer?

yeah that's why i said i had a 180 feelin w/ those side skirts until I found out they are normally like the shape of /_ . I like how yours are |_ !! I want those damnit.

:D
LOL I got the kit from Versus in Phoenix. It's just a motosports shop. But because I was going to get it painted in LA, I would have wanted to pick it up from Ground Designs, that way so I don't have to drive the kit from Arizona to LA, and I wouldn't have to pay for shipping. It turns out though, that Ground Designs delivered the kit to PJ Bonifacio's, which is the shop that painted it. Ground Designs is the manufactuer of the kit, but I think they can install too for you. PJ's was the body shop and Versus was the motorsports shop where I bought it.
I really like the Black Widow sides...probably more than any, but if you ended up getting the complete BW, you might want to get a different grill. The grill that comes from Ground Designs is real thin, so it's easy to see through. I wanted a thicker grill like I have now.

And yeah, that second civic. Dayum!!!! I've never seen it at a show I don't think, but I'd like too. I think it's the white rims that really do it, but I love that car.

Well I probably wouldn't take it back to PJs. Are you going to get the body work done in Cali? I'm assuming you're still in Oregon. If you ever got a chance, I'd head down to LA and go check out some of the local shops. It's cool to see all the show cars there and stuff. Well let me know when you want to get the body work done and where at.

Nah i'm not getting anything extreme that warrants a trip down to cali.. would be nice but there is a guy up here that is known in north cal and washington.. who does awesome paint etc.. Tom Myers.. did i ask you how much each thang was? how much was it for your interior to be done and then how much for your exterior paint/body mods etc?
The interior was about $1595. The body work was about $5200. They got me the new front bumper...I switched from Streetfyghter II front to Black Widow...shaved rear door handles, side moldings, trunk, antennae, and hood squirters. Got me the lights and fixed the rest of the kit...it was cracked and had some scrapes...and repainted everything except for the engine bay. They're a little pricey IMO, but they're definitely one of the best body shops out there. Well I'm sure there are a lot of good ones out there, but they're really well known in the import scene, so I'm happy. The general manager is cool as hell too, so that made it easier. Hope this helps.

Damn i didn't even notice some of that shaving - the trunk shaved? as in that back portion where the license plate goes or the whole thing, if the whole thing - don' t use the trunk?! :D For all that custom body work and paint for 5200 (which includes tax i imagine) .. sounds alright but then again I dont know too much about costs like that just yet. But if they got you the new front bumper and did all the body work and painted everything.. pretty good price i think.. esp how much i'm going to have to pay just for paint and fitting the body kit (which i buy) show qual paint/ding repair - 3500!

hrmm now i'm wonderin..
Hmm...that doesn't seem too bad. I don't know though. I've only priced like four of the main shops in Cali, so that's where I base my prices on. JT Auto and 20/20 are two of the more expensive. Auto Explosion and J&S are a couple cheaper ones, but like I said, they're all well known in the show scene. This month's Import Tuner cover car, the yellow prelude, was done there. The January issue with the accord with skyline heads and tails was done there too. That sucks you live so far away. I bet they got good places up there too. But if you do decide to go down to Cali, let me know and I'll try to get you some prices if you want. Do you read Import Tuner much?
dude you guys have a lot to say... it different because the 1st two blue civic is a 4 door and the and the last two are coupe
Here's a pic of the Black Widow sides and the Buddy Club rear.

Okay...guess not:D
Or maybe the difference is that one car has the BW dies and the other one the HYBRID (aerogear) sides????

Actually that looks pretty sweet!

You were able to see it? I didn't think it came up or the link worked. That hatch is fawkin tight!! Email me mang
I think it's just the angle the pictures were taken at some look better than others , but the blue coupe does look like they flare out a bit. I got the rear & sides for my teg & they came out lookin like the silver civic, It also might be like some one said they could be hybrid skirts or replicas.
These are Hybrids

Black Widows

And I forgot who makes these

When I saw the yellow one I almost regretted getting the skirts & I really didn't like them at first but now I love them
it's just the angle and the shadow, they're the same sideskirts

groundsdesign didn't make two different types of the same sideskirt

Thanks for the replies fellas!

Definately thanks for the pics!

What rear ends do you think goes well with the black widow side skirts (except the bw rear end - don't want to do dual exhaust) ... does good matching up w/ the side skirts (drop height) and looks good???

Thanks again!
