i have a silly ass question to ask... whats the difference between a sohc zc (si 88-91 usdm) and a dohc (si 88-91 jdm) block if any?

i dunno j-spec are faster for some reason. i know dohc in japan offer lsd. they have bigger intake and exhuast ports, im is bigger, exhuast manifold is bigger, j-spec's rock.

basicly what i want to know is can i take a dohc head and put it onto my zc (i have a j-spec zc) or so my importer claims but still single cam

Bolt patterns might be different, but double check that from a dealer or something. I had a problem with my mini me swap because of that same reason. The bolts were slightly offset compared to the head I had chosen to throw on. Also make sure that the belts will work. I had a water pump that would not fit the timing belt that was required on the head, nor would the right parts fit the head and/or block. Just some other info you might want to look into.

that works

ill check into it, if i cant do dohc then i will go mini-me probably with z6 head
