If BMW designed their own chassis they may have
a good chance at really being a factor.

I believe Ferrari is the only company in F1
that designs, tests, and builds both their engines
and chassis.

BMW is powerful but their chassis is literally
second best and their engines are literally
unreliable.

19,000 rpms is good for BMW, but
barrichello was 20+ seconds ahead of michael
and the bmws were no longer a factor by the 10th
lap.

It really goes to prove that a car can have all
the power in the world but if a car can't make
good use of that power due to an uneven chassis
and an unreliable engine, then it shows that
you won't win, what ever ROAD racing series you are in.

Toyota also builds both engines and chassis... that's why many thinks that they will be a championship contender in a couple of seasons.

There was talk that the qualifying effort by Montoya was done on a 'qualifying engine'.They dropped in a different engine for the race.

And at least it was the 'other' Ferrari that won yesterday.

Renault makes and builds it's own engines and chassis.

And since Ford owns Jaguar...it can be said the Jag/Cosworth team also builds it's own engine and chassis.
