This is not D-series tech, but...
I think you may be able to do a front end conversion, it would require fenders, hood, lights, & front bumper.
It's probably been done before, search the forums and the web in general.

i'm not sure that it would "bolt right up," it may require a little fabrication or cutting to get it to fit right... not tough work if you know your way around some hand tools
