bolt ons

I am trying to get some power out of my 94 accord lx. I have nothing on it right now. Is there really a big difference in power gain between intakes from like pep boys intake ($79) vs aem short ram ($130) or should I go with cai? Do I really need to get an expensive catback exhaust or would it be better to just do an engine swap? Can I get any good performance parts used?
I'm really not trying to spend a lot but I want some more power.

Thanks

For a catback exh. if you dont need stainless steel you can get a real good system for like 350$. Get fuel rail, cams, radiator cap... and get dai instead of cai if you dont care for huge power.
engine swap

I saw you mentioned engine swap, and if you are considering it I think you should go for it. Of course thats not a bolt on, but That is the way i am going. I am not even gonna bother building up my f22, I want to start with a better base.
swap = $$$$

if you arent wanting to spend alot of dough then i would go with a swap. it will cost alteast $1000... intake is intake. cai versus a short ram is the only difference. cold air gives more power, but costs twice as much as a short ram. all short ram are the same. atleast with my experience. if you want to save some dough you can make your own intake. it is pretty simple. just need an imagination. but if you find a good deal it would be cheaper to just buy one.
i would go with CAI
Instead of doing intake exhaust and shit just get the swap. you will gain more power that way. And then put intake and exhaust on the swap. Lates.
if you do decide to build your f22, then get a cai to start off with. i would buy one of the generic intake tubes off of ebay for like 40 bucks and then spend some money and get a good filter like blitz or k&n.
AEM Cold air intake

Id get a good AEM cai cause that added so much power and torque to my 94 lx. i also got some dc headers but they only help out at about 4000 rpm or more. Intake also sounds good.
i've put in a cold air intake and a catback exhaust and i've noticed a pretty considerable difference..and the sound is awesome....so go ahead and get the cai and catback...as for engine swap...its gonna cost plenty...if you go for the h22a i believe it would be around 2400-2900...can't remember if that included install or not though

A cold air intake, headers, catback exhaust and pullies are good for noticeable power. For the higher quality brands that (normally) give the best performances increases, this may cost around $1200 for parts.

As for swaps, your only real choice is the H22A which will cost a few thousand if you want a higher quality, low mileage one. But it would be substantial increase in power for you: +70hp/17lb-ft tq.
