I am just wondering if anyone has been using an upgraded (higher boost) pulley on their supercharger for a while and if everything is still cool under the hood. I am thinking about getting an upgrade but I still want a reliable car.

A boost upgrade kit from Jackson Racing will be fine. If you're going with a custom pulley, I wouldn't suggest it unless you know what you're doing. I'm running a 4" blower pulley from JR and an Endyn "stepper" alternator pulley to increase boost pressure 3 pounds to 9 psi.

i have a '00 si w/ upgraded boost. about 11 1/2psi i think. maybe 14psi (yes-it actually jumped up that high before). some guy at jackson knows about it and he doesn't know what to say either. as long as it's still running good then it should be okay was the reply. haven't been paying attention for a while now. it's been about 1 year and 3 months now. with just the charger pulley too. i forgot what size pulley i have on there. might be the 4" or the 3.8". everything seems fine here. i can even play with the BTC at times to "supposedly" make it go faster. it's quick though. oh yeah, it's supposed to only be around 9 1/2psi.

same here. upgraded right away so i don't know either, but i'm pretty confident that there is a BIG power difference that can be felt. you won't be dissappointed! i have a del sol with a GSR motor too and it's also supercharged with the upgrade. Fast!

Thanks for the responses...

Are you guys running any electronics in the cars to prevent detonation or just the pulleys?

Is the Jackson Racing upgrade kit a good one or should I use components from others shuch as energy dynamics? I am told that the energy dynamics stepper pulley is a really good one.
