i have a 99 civic ex. tonight i was walking inside and all of a sudden the brake lights came on. i tried pressing the pedal a few times and took out the fuse but when you plug the fuse back in the lights come back on.. not to car inclined but any advide would help.thanks

did u do anytype of electrical work prior to this?
i remember i did some drilling in the car, and i must have grounded out a wire because my windows kept rolling down by themseves

on the pedal assembly. look up near the top. youll see a little black gromet. and when the brake pedal is pressed it releases the brake light switch. (very similar to the nuetral safty switch) those gromets deteriorate very quicly. check that.
