does the Si and VTEC have the same size rear brake rotors.
also does the Si have the same front rotors has the VTEC or S.
i'm having trouble finding a set of rotors for my 96 Si, all i see is the VTEC rotors or just the front ones on the S model.

The rear disk brakes are the same for all integras 94-00 and rear disc equiped civics 93-00. The fronts on the VTEC del sol are the 10.3inch rotors found on the civic SI and newer civic EX. The Integra also has the same 10.3 rotors, but I think the calipers are a bit different since the brake pads are different. The sol SI and S have the same 9.5 inch rotors as the DX and most other civics.

I may be wrong but this is what I believe.

ABS open a whole new can of worms too, I dont know how that changes things.

salt answered it...I had such a hassle with Modacar
because they sent me Vtec rotors and pads instead of the
Si ones. I SWEAR I filled out the order form correctly. But,
simply put, the larger rotors/pads combo won't fit an Si,
(without changing the calipers also). Modacar's a good site though;
not knocking their rep. here. Just one of those "screw-ups"
that happen from time-to-time. Good karma for me, anyway....
I think the Vtec front rotors are an inch larger than an Si;
don't know about the back ones, but I'd figure: "bigger in
front, bigger in back". My question is: if you could just scavange
a set of Vtec calipers, could you use them with the larger rotors
on an Si, without the ABS system? I want some ceramic rotors
anyway...when's an aftermarket company going to offer these?

Pussy.. just get the Brembo or Wilwood kit :D :D j/k

Yes this subject has been the focus of frustration for me over the past few months. I ask all these different companies the same question but I keep getting different answers. I'm just going to break down and go 12" rotors with 4 piston cals in the front and 9 or 10 inch 2 piston cals in the rear.

the del sol s and si come with the same front rotors. 9.5"

the del sol vtec comes with integra spec rotors. 10.2"

do a search, i made a how to for the brake upgrade.

the si and vtec rear brakes are the same

4040 proportion valve isnt always required, but is a good idea to move the brake bias to the front more.

Cool - I got the 12" wilwoods and I'm getting some fast brakes in the back.

94 vtec didn't come with abs :p

but abs is geh anyway

as for a brake upgrade, preludes make good donor cars... as well as legends just a little bit of work to make them fit.

if using legend calipers you can do one of two things...

(granted if you already have a del sol vtec, or got civic si(ek), integra, or sol vtec knuckles)

just shim the caliper out a little and use the larger legend rotors.... but if you are going to go the larger route, might as well get the bling nsx calipers with the sink veins to cool caliper better :p

or 98+crv, accord v6 or accord wagons = itr calipers/ brakes
