I'm looking for a new exhaust for my car, but it has to have a silencer because of the 5 0. so i have two questions.

1)what brands of exhaust come with silencers?

2)if you know or if you know of a web site that will tell me, what is the decibel level that the silencer cuts down?

Tanabe racing medalion has one and their pretty bad ass
Of course Arospeed bomb mufflers do but their not pretty bad ass but they are cheap
really a Greddy Evo is not that loud and it does not use a silencer
Most Japanese aftermarket exhausts are not as loud as american made exausts like flowmaster or dynomax
If I was you I would get the racing medalion. Thats what I am going to put on my car as soon as I get $500 to blow on 2 HP.

I've heard silencers don't really do much and don't sound good. I'd get a mid-pipe resonator, you'll be much happier with the sound.

i tell you what i bought a Tanabe RM exhaust and i love it. sure it's not the cheapest thing in the world but the price is well worth it.

now the only problem is you gotta tighten that silencer up good. mine flew off on I95 when i was coming back up from Atlanta.

w/out the silencer that boy is LOUD. i love it!!

oh yeah forgot to mention how much harder the car pulled after i installed it.

you'll know after you gun it that u didn't gain just 2hp. very noticable.

I have a 92 and i have an axle-back exhaust, got me a decent apexi'n1 and it's really growly deep w/o the silencer but when you put the silencer on it sounds like the Twin canister system from DC sports, IMO it doesn't sound bad when you put the silencer on...
